Profile
Bahia Honda State Park is a tropical paradise in the Lower Florida Keys, renowned for its pristine beaches, clear turquoise waters, and lush landscapes. Spanning 524 acres, the park offers a serene escape with opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and camping.
The iconic remnants of the Bahia Honda Rail Bridge provide a glimpse into the area’s rich history, while the park’s diverse ecosystems make it a haven for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts alike.
Bahia Honda State Park boasts three distinct beaches: Calusa Beach, Loggerhead Beach, and Sandspur Beach (I must say its my favorite), each offering a unique experience. Calusa Beach, with its views of the old bridge, is great for families and snorkeling. Loggerhead Beach, facing the Atlantic, provides a long, shallow stretch with a sandbar. Sandspur Beach is the largest, offering a more secluded experience with shallow waters and sand flats.
Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, Bahia Honda offers a quintessential Keys experience.
