Founder’s Park and Beach, Islamorada

Founders Park is a 45-acre community park located at mile marker 87 on Plantation Key in Islamorada, Florida. This family-friendly park offers a variety of recreational facilities and activities for both residents and visitors.

Amenities include:

• Beach Area: A shallow-water beach on Florida Bay, equipped with tiki huts, picnic tables, cooking grills, a sand volleyball court, playgrounds, outdoor showers, and restroom facilities.
• Ron Levy Aquatic Center: Features an Olympic-size swimming pool with diving boards, a slide, and a toddler splash pad.
• Sports Facilities: Includes lighted tennis courts, pickleball courts, soccer and baseball fields, basketball courts, and fitness and walking trails.
• Marina: Provides access to boating and water activities.
• Dog Park: A designated area for dogs to play off-leash.
• Amphitheater & Great Lawn: Hosts various community events and performances.

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Admission Fees:

Village residents receive free admission. Visitors are welcome and treated like locals.

Park Rules:

• Alcohol is strictly prohibited.
• No glass containers or smoking allowed.
• Dogs are not permitted on the beach, playground, picnic areas, soccer fields, or pool area but are allowed in other areas if leashed.
