Target Species: What’s Biting?
Captain Skye tailors your trip to the season and current conditions:
-
Offshore: Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi-Mahi (Dolphin), Blackfin Tuna, and Wahoo.
-
Reef & Wreck: Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail, Black Grouper, and Amberjack.
-
Nearshore/Family: Shark fishing and “fun” trips for kids to catch Barracuda and Jack Crevalle.
Why Book with Blue Heaven?
-
Local Expertise: As a native “Conch” (born and raised in the Keys), Captain Skye has an encyclopedic knowledge of the local reefs and hidden “spots” that aren’t on any public map.
-
The “Cook Your Catch” Connection: Since the boat is at Robbie’s, you can take your freshly filleted catch directly to the Hungry Tarpon Restaurant next door to have it prepared for lunch or dinner.
-
Everything Included: Your fare covers your fishing license, top-tier tackle, bait, ice, and fish cleaning/bagging at the end of the day.
Local Knowledge & Tips
-
The “409 Hump”: If you book a 3/4 or Full Day, ask Skye about heading to the “Humps”—underwater mountains where the current pushes up bait and creates a feeding frenzy for Tuna.
-
What to Bring: Just your food and drinks. The crew provides the coolers and ice. Polarized sunglasses are highly recommended to help you see the “neon” colors of the fish in the crystal-clear water.
-
The Robbie’s Bonus: Arrive an hour early to feed the tarpon at the dock and grab a “Trailer Trash” Bloody Mary before your departure!
